Traveling Tuesday: Our Weekend

We went to Kansas City last weekend! Sloane's aunt and uncle live there and we visit them every Thanksgiving, but this was my first time to go with warm weather.  We had SUCH a great time visiting them~ they are so fun and made sure we had the best time!


Friday night we ate at Stroud's which has been on the tv show, Man vs. Food.  They have amazing fried chicken, porkchops, and mashed potatoes and gravy :)


Saturday we went down to the Plaza and ate at Jackstack, a Kansas City Bar-B-Que place with our friends from law school, Marty and Anna who live there now.


Afterwards we shopped around and then went to an art museum! There was a Monet exhibit that was beautiful and interesting.

Saturday night we went to my frist Kansas City Royals game! It was hot, hot, hot, but we had fun and had great seats!  The Royals allllllllmost came back for the win, but ended up losing by just 1 run.

Sloane's sister is engaged!  It was our first time to see her since her boyfriend proposed a couple of weeks ago. Her ring is beautiful and we are so excited for them!

On our way home on Sunday, Sloane suggested we take a tiny adventure! We stopped in Lawrence, Kansas for a few hours. One of my sweet OKC friends, Jess, suggested places for us to go because she went to college at KU. We looked at the GORGEOUS campus, ate some delicious food at Tellers, and shopped in the cute boutiques.
